So this week, I was looking into possible buying and modifying an Instamatic, however, I remembered that I still have a relative-Instamatic at home, which happens to be not mine, but Nica’s. A holga, an Instamatic type camera.
In truth, I have several of things to note against it: that being it didn’t work well with me. But it turned out that the shutter was broken, so I decided to fix it myself, and see if it works with the films I ordered online just today.

The holga dismantled.
Bad news: Oil got into lens. Good news, I got to clean it out, including the whole lens.
I figured that I have now have 5 cameras being utilized (Nica’s Holga, A Canon DSLR, a Nikon FM10, Cass’ Action Sampler and the pinhole camera Cass gave me which I wasn’t able to fully utilize) so I figured buying another one would be reduntant, although not completely useless. And since I was eyeing an old Vivitar IC101 (a fake panoramic, mind you), I decided to mod my own cams instead.

Yep, those are paper strips I placed near the openings.

Using B&W film.

All stocked!
