You know how we always said that those little fake sponge key chain bread buns they sell in Trinoma just look sooo cute and almost real, and that it would most likely be rather delicious if they were actual food?
Well,
China has them. For realz.

And they fookin taste like a regular tasteless bread. : |

That’s China for you, everyone.
Anyway.
I am torn between being a doofus to my boss or to my competition.
See, I don’t want to be making some decisions immediately without consulting my managers because somehow, I’m in China, and I’m under strict orders not to do anything stupid. I’m accountable for not just me. If things were to come to needing an immediate decision, I could very well do that. But if I still have time, I want to still consult just so they wouldn’t say “whytf did you not ask me?”
So yesterday, I was on the phone with my boss, arguing about asking the competition for the full download of the situation. I didn’t like the idea that he was nearly shouting on the phone. I was torn due to this—I don’t know if:
a) I would talk to my boss and mull over Plan A and Plan B and Plan C and look stupid to him before going to the competition and asking what the situation is, then look smart in front of the competition by offering a Plan A, Plan B, Plan C and seeming rather sharp;
b) I would ask the competition for the details, go to my boss, go over Plan A, B, C, go back and make it seem like I did consult with a boss and therefore I can’t manage things my self, and then come up with a decision.
Well, they weren’t being precise when they said “don’t do anything stupid.” I wasn’t sure if the stupid part would be with the competition or with my bosses.
Oh. Don’t worry about this. I’m just story telling.
