10-30-06: Bed hogger

My work missed me today. I didn’t have much people screaming about their rotten credits, which is a little refreshing for a work day. Obviously though, that’s about P900 less on my next week’s pay. Sheesh. Not my fault though. I woke up with a bad throat and not much of a voice. I was excused except I still have to present a medical certificate. Obviously that’s bad, because aside from the fact that I won’t get paid, I have to shelve out money to pay those doctors to declare I am sick. Poor JC.

So I slept in the office’s sleeping quarters. I couldn’t go home and leave Ger at the office, aside from the fact that I couldn’t go home alone as well. I already slept a good six hours prior, now yet another six hours to the tab was added. Imagine that. It’s almost like being bitten by a cheche fly or something. I would like to think that my body needs the rest, or maybe I’m just bored.

I’m attributing it to last Friday’s event though. UP had our presence in the film showing of Kubrador, which Tina was itching to see. Well, it’s not the fact that I saw Kubrador that made me sick, but we went to Quezon Ave to have a huge dinner at Mister Kebab (or Kabab, as the sign says), and it rained so much that night, that I got the small sniffles. 21 years and my body’s still not immune to small rain pours. That’s harsh.
